Another tip…get an EZ Pass, and preferably one from NY, as that one will give you the best discount on the tolls!

About how much time should one plan for when going from LGA to JFK and vice versa?

It can vary wildly. I made it from block in at JFK to my departure gate at La Guardia today in 40 minutes but I’ve also had it take an hour from getting in a cab to getting dropped off. It all depends on traffic.

You should also consider the highly variable wait time for Kew (or others?) to arrive for pickup. Sadly many have been burnt by the dispatcher making up a wait time that has no bearing on reality. (they'll tell you the car will be there in 15 minutes and you'll still be waiting an hour later).
It's good to have a couple of options (companies) for when this happens, or just grab a yellow cab if you can find one.
Not helpful, but good to be aware of another factor that affects the variability.

Thanks. There’s a direct LGA from my home, or I two leg it from home to ATL then JFK while we still have PS. I’m trying to determine the least painful option.
