Then I can use it when needed for trips until I get low again. I suspect you’d have no issues doing the same with an unlimited ride card as long as you make the purchase on the day you report (or release) from an LGA/EWR trip.
Looks like the monthly limit just went up to $250. Since I’ve seen $70+ for LGA to Kew, it was needed.

Prices I had save in my phone last time I used them (which was pre-covid) were:

JFK - Kew: $12
LGA - Kew: $15
JFK - LGA: $18

My understanding was JFK/LGA-kew was $12. $18 between airports. Guess I better ask next time. They haven’t had an issue with what I pay I guess.

Could you buy the unlimited card on the day of a rotation and submit the expense like that? I think that might just work. Let us know if that works out. Could be a good way to get the Airtrain pass, too.
Update: just got reimbursed for my 30 day unlimited MTA Card. I waited to submit it until after I had used it for several rotations, and then I put all those rotations in the notes section of my Concur expense report.

Default NJ to JFK commute

Can anyone shed light on what the NJ to JFK commute would be like? It takes me about 40 minutes to EWR on I78 and I know that JFK could only be 1.5 hrs in good conditions. I’m just wondering if anyone can tell me how long it took for it to get “old.” Granted, it would probably only have to be done a few times per week max with the 2hr callout from the closest NYC airport.

I currently leave 2 hours for my PHL commute gone/parking/shuttle/gate for a ULCC. Just making my list of pros and cons. (Yes, one pro will be “it’s not a ULCC.”)
