This happened to a friend of mine....he called the 3rd party company doing the background check and discovered that that while they had completed the background check, the results had not been sent over to Delta...they claimed some technical glitch on their end, but I assume it was an error of omission on their part.

They sent it over that morning while he was on the phone and he got indoc invite that afternoon.

I would reach out to background check company ASAP and if you don't hear back from them in a day or two, shoot DL Pilot Hiring and email so they are aware of the delay.

Is this a positive development? Thanks

A very positive development! I went from 'fix it' to getting an invite to do the assessment within a week. A hair over a week from completing the assessment to interview invite.

I just got the rejection email this morning for the assessment. Reapply in 6 months from assessment invitation.

I think I feel similar to a lot of people on here that said they felt like they did a really good job on the assessment only to find out they didn't do a good enough job on it. Its a bummer, but I'll be better prepared for next time now that I've done it once. Some of the questions on the assessment are definitely not enjoyable to answer as they are both bad options.

They just disappeared without us even noticing. As typical HR, they don't say a word. I'll say two stood out to me for the wrong reasons, but no idea if it factored in. Two had loud designs on their mask and tie. The other, no idea.

The design of your suit and tie or mask have nothing to do with hiring. (Unless maybe you wear the dumb and dumber tuxedos)

They weren’t hired for a specific reason related to their HR panel, qualifications, etc.

True, but you can definitely get a vibe on a person leading up to the interview. In my group, only 1 person didn’t show up to meet with the interview group for dinner the night before. He was one of the ones who got kicked in day 1. Was not showing up the reason he wasn’t hired? Well of course not, but maybe his attitude behind not wanting to meet up spilled over into his performance. Maybe he was super nervous and trying to cram every last second of studying in, maybe he was anti-social, maybe he was cocky and over-confident, who knows. And there was another guy who was just sweating bullets while we were waiting to into the interview office first thing in the morning. He was a nervous wreck, and I’m sure that affected his performance.

All I’m saying is that in some cases when you find out a certain person was cut you can think back and see the possible red flags showing they might not do well.

Who organizes this dinner usually?

Guy at my group didn’t go to the dinner the night before. Showed up 5 minutes late (still “early” compared to published show time, but after they brought everyone Inside and started talking) on the interview day and didn’t have one of the papers they asked for at the beginning. He got the CJO- seven others didn’t.

Went to the interview, great headquarters and neat experience. Unfortunately, I received the "Reapply in six Months" email. Any idea what that tends to lead to or if it just puts you back in the que to hope they pull the app again?

Don’t they tell you in person that you didn’t get the CJO following the unsuccessful interview?
