Can’t tell if you are genuinely trying to be helpful or virtue signaling. If the latter, you aren’t the arbiter of anyone’s sincerely held religious belief. We are so far past this discussion in this country. However, if the former, I’d add that I can’t speak to new hire policy ‘enforcement’, but Delta is not even adjudicating existing employees’ exemption requests, because it’s obsolete.

Swing and a miss.

For those who got the 6 month re-invite, did you have to do anything to reapply, or did you just leave your original AirlineApp in? My 6 months has come and I've heard crickets.

So for the second attempt at the Online Assessment how exactly does it work?

Do you automatically get an email at 6 months to try again? I'll be in training so I won't be able to take a few days off to practice for it. The first time they just gave me a 7 day notice.

Yeah I'm wondering about this too. I'm at about 3 months to go before I can try again.

CISIVE

The CISIVE is that a background/criminal history check similar to STERLING? Does CISIVE reach out to past employers as well? Just trying gauge what exactly this thing is?

I have a failed line check from my time as FO…recently upgraded to captain. Any gouge on how much does that hurt my chances?

Plenty of people have been hired with a failed checkride in their past, many with more than 1. The key is to be open and honest about it, take responsibility for what went wrong, and show that you've moved past it. Trying to blame the examiner or other external issues is a no-no, even if it's true. In the end you are responsible for your failures and they want to see you take ownership of it and learn from your mistakes.

They actually did a very good job explaining how the company looks at it. Nice swing and a miss from you though.
