I got an invite for the assessment on 12/23 and an interview invite 18 hours after finishing the assessment on 12/27. So they’re still going out.

Has pilot selection been sending out the assessment invite over the holidays? I received a fix it email a couple weeks ago but radio silence since. Just wanted to see if I got my hopes up too soon or if other people have not been hearing from them either. Thanks!

I got the assessment invite on Monday. I'll keep folks updated on the timeline thereafter. I plan on giving it a go this Friday. Wish me luck!

Background check?

Who does Delta use for background checks / employment verification? Im in my mid 40's and grew up as the say "economically disadvantaged". I hustled my ass off (never broke the law beyond speeding citations) and have done ok for myself. The problem is I don't have a clue how to name all the people and companies I have worked for since I graduated high school. I have had I think 3 speeding tickets; but really Im not sure. I haven't had any citations in 20+years and every drivers license check I can do shows up clean. How do you find this stuff? I want to disclose it, but, how in the world do I find this information? I figured I will just get a background report from whoever Delta uses and build my application that way?

Do all of you who are old like me really only have 3-5 employers since High School?

Don’t know what to tell you on work stuff, but for the tickets do your best guess and put approximate in the description. Worked for me.

Dude, don’t stress it. Fill out the form to the best of your knowledge and go from there. They’ll handle the rest. You’ve made it this far, just ride it out.

EDIT: unless you’ve killed someone, it’s shouldn’t be an issue. I got hired by Delta at 42. Had mad speeding tickets and an illegal left turn. Relax

I got the assessment on the 23rd. Completed it on the 26th. Haven't heard anything from the hiring team. Sent them an email on the 3rd and still nothing. This doesn't look good 😑

What is the timeline you guys are seeing between publishing your application and an invite? I realize a lot of variables could play into it, just curious.

They were pretty prompt in telling me I failed.

I also would like to know the answer to this. I'm a USAF pilot currently at an LCC. I would say on every other metric I'm competitive but half of my turbine time was rotor so I'm a little short of the 1000 FW turbine requirement. Are MIL guys getting picked up without the FW turbine or will they count other turbine time? Or is it a complete non-starter till you have all the FW?

I can only speak to my experience but when I left active duty, I had around 900 FW turbine hours (400 TPIC) and another 1800ish turbine helo hours. No traction from any legacy. I went to another 121 carrier and a month after hitting 1000 FW turbine in Sept ‘22 got invites from AA, SWA, UA, and finally DAL.

I’d say make sure your app is in and just keep hustling to break 1k turbine.

Question, I got a fix it email saying to fix one little thing with the addendum (DOT drug testing) an hour after I changed my employment to WN from OO. Does the fix it email mean they are actually looking at my app or that was an automated thing that the system automatically scans for?
