PARB Delay

I was sent to the PARB and passed after two weeks of waiting.

Can I expect my class date to be 12-14 weeks from my original verbal CJO at Delta HQ (the timeline HR quoted at the time) or from the PARB pass date which also corresponded with the CJO follow-up emails?

they declined as they were already at another airline.

Same here. My friend had already started at another airline and was so ****ed at Delta for telling him at first that he was mentally disqualified, he told DAL FU against his best self interest. He is born and bread in Georgia and had dreamed of always working at DAL. Oh well.

A classic case of cutting your nose off to spite your face. If they're living in/near ATL and this decision forced him into a life long commute, an emotional reaction likely cost them lots of money AND time at home. At the end of the day, you're a number, nothing more or less...don't think too much into it. Hope it was worth it.

Maybe Delta was accurate in their assessment?

I’m updating my apps and wondering if my numbers are competitive for DAL:

2600 TT, 1950 Jet, 325 TPIC. No 121 but a lot of 135, including some 135 PIC. I also have some extra curricular’s; A+P, CFI-II-MEI, director of training for a small 135 for awhile and worked at a full sim training facility for a year. 3 PIC types and never had an issue passing an initial course.

Like said I’m going to update anyways but I’d love to hear if I might get the interview in these weird hiring times.

Certainly right in the mix of qualified candidates. Do you have an ATP? If so, with a professional application review and internal recommendation, I’d say your odds are pretty good! Even without an ATP, you have a shot but you’d need your CTP and written completed.

You could always signing up for a meet and greet at a job fair as well and asking Delta recruiters directly. Rumor has it that it’s a good way to get your app pulled. And like someone else said, pay the money and have it professionally reviewed and keep it updated at least every 1-2 weeks.
