Did some searching and while I found some stuff most of it was a year old by now. Wondering if any one has some recommendations on prepping for the interview. Aviationsinterviews vs maybe a professional company? Latest I saw were some mixed things on the professional prep companies so curious what people are doing today and what experience they had.
I then used the question banks I created to have friends and family give me mock interviews. I successfully completed the interview without paying for any interview services - and one of my interviewers actually said “Thank you for being prepared and giving us genuine answers. We get so many that seem trained.” I have repeated this process with a friend and he also passed the interview without paying a consultant. Same goes with the application - I didn’t pay for an app review service. I read tips on this forum and the delta recruiter page, and had friends and family look it over. Multiple people I know have done the same and landed the interview. |

I used aviationinterviews to build myself a question bank and understand the themes of the questions. I also took notes from a couple dozen of their interview summaries to get tips and better prepare for the day. Go through your logbook and write down stories you have - they’re good to have if any “tell me about a time” questions arise but also to give you ideas to answer what would you do questions.

I used aviation interviews in the past and it helped me know what to expect and have at least some what of an idea of an answer. I wasn’t sure if the services offered something more or better insight. Don’t want to manufacture answers because it can be hard to keep them straight and they come off a disingenuous. Just want to be honest and myself but also not be surprised or put on the spot where I don’t know how to answer a question. |
Hey all. Flying for wholly owned DL connection carrier now with an interview at another legacy. Anybody know of success for guys like me taking a CJO from there to delta and saying you want DL? TIA!

I take it you did CFI as a military equivalence test. CFI if you go through the FAA process is normally an 8 hour oral.

My interview was broken into 3 groups. Group 2 took the MMPI while group 1 took the panel interview and group 3 waited. Then after a short break group 2 took the panel and I believe groups 1 and 3 took the MMPI. After lunch all of groups 1 & 2 knew if they had the CJO, while group 3 did the panel interview.

Delta is the only company I've seen which does military/veteran-only meet-n-greets. Two so far this year: Jax, FL in March and D.C. in May. That's probably your best bet: they don't sell out as fast, and military-friendly recruiters.
