I used aviationinterviews to build myself a question bank and understand the themes of the questions. I also took notes from a couple dozen of their interview summaries to get tips and better prepare for the day. Go through your logbook and write down stories you have - they’re good to have if any “tell me about a time” questions arise but also to give you ideas to answer what would you do questions.

I then used the question banks I created to have friends and family give me mock interviews. I successfully completed the interview without paying for any interview services - and one of my interviewers actually said “Thank you for being prepared and giving us genuine answers. We get so many that seem trained.”

I have repeated this process with a friend and he also passed the interview without paying a consultant.

Same goes with the application - I didn’t pay for an app review service. I read tips on this forum and the delta recruiter page, and had friends and family look it over. Multiple people I know have done the same and landed the interview.

yeah I have my interview scheduled. So obvious passed the assessment and app/resume review without outside help. I used aviation interviews in the past and it helped me know what to expect and have at least some what of an idea of an answer. I wasn’t sure if the services offered something more or better insight. Don’t want to manufacture answers because it can be hard to keep them straight and they come off a disingenuous. Just want to be honest and myself but also not be surprised or put on the spot where I don’t know how to answer a question.

You mean like trying to convince them to give you an interview? Good luck with that. Honestly your fastest path to DL is to take the job at the other major and keep your Delta app updated.

Tough stuff there Gone Flying...believe me, military flight training has many more hours than 8 involved in oral evaluations. And becoming a military instructor is no cakewalk either. A military equivalency is granted based on the FAA's assessment of your military training, experience and an acknowledgment that it was some of the best training in the world. You shouldn't knock what you appear to have never tried. As a military pilot I make a very conscious effort not to judge my civilian trained counterparts until I actually fly with them and can assess their skill first hand...I would appreciate the same courtesy in return.

some people have been waiting over 5 months for the test. There’s really no rhyme or reason as to who and when you get invited. I got my top tier then assessment within 2 days. Others got a top tier then waited months for the assessment.

Not to deflate your balloon, but everyone gets invited to play the games after submitting their AA app. I know many that made up random usernames and crap apps just to use the AA games as free practice for their Delta one.
