Hi Matty,
Could you please give an insight on what the Virtual Recruiting Event was like? I have it next week.
Is it more of a screening process and fact-checking the eligibility, or is it interview-type questions, scenarios, "Tell me a time when..."
ETC?

Thanks!

What is the Virtual Recruiting Event? Is it something that is assigned? (My top tier email was on 8/6 and I'm not great at all this online recruitment research stuff. I still use paper logbooks as well)

Check out the Delta Airlines Pilot Recruiting Facebook page and they usually post dates towards the end of the month.

Pretty much a meet and greet online. I think it's mostly for folks who didn't receive a top tier email yet because after my session earlier this month with a Delta Captain, I mentioned I received a top tier email and she sort of said keep doing what you're doing and chatted about Delta the rest of the time.

How far out from class do you receive notification of the class in which you’ve been enrolled?

AON

hey guys, about 4 months ago I was able to snag one of those virtual interview sessions delta offers. Approximately 3 days later I got the top tier email and then the following day got offered the assessment which I subsequently did not pass. Today I was able to get another virtual interview session for late next month and I hope I'll be offered another chance at the assessment. Has anyone here failed the assessment the first time and been offered another shot at it? im going to prepare a lot more this time with the CUTE assessment. Any tips besides using the cut e program. FWIW I got the AON with 2300 or so TT with roughly 800 turbine time. Im now 2500 TT and 1k turbine.

I failed my first attempt. Second opportunity came 120 days later and was successful. I used Cut-e prep tests during that time and updated my app daily.

Yes, a handful of us here have gotten the second assessment, myself included. In addition to Cut-E, check out CareerTakeoff, which has a prep service available for the personality portion, which seems to do the most damage.

Additionally, be sure to the read the fine print on those virtual meet & greet's, I thought there was a time range that they didn't want you to schedule a second, in order to give everyone else a first chance. I thought that time limit was six months, but maybe it's only three. The reason I point that out is DAL's unabashed love of attention to detail. I'd hate for your first question to be "so I see you had a virtual a couple months ago, why didn't you wait the xx months we asked before scheduling another?" It sounds asinine, but definitely not impossible.

Good luck!

I took a look at the fine print it states slots should only be secured by pilots who have not met with a recruiter in person in the previous 6 months. Since this is online im led to believe I am okay? I hope I am not interpreting it incorrectly.

1 I would interpret that as if you’ve been to a recruiting event and spoken to someone in the last 6 months live or online let someone else have a shot.

2 the recruiting events are to get noticed and have your application reviewed. It triggers a top tier mainly. Not likely to trigger a second assessment.

someone posted about it a page or 2 back. That they had their top tier, no aon yet and the captain they met with just spoke casually and told them about delta rather than asking about resume and experience etc. they can’t recommend you for another app review if it’s been reviewed and you already got the top tier.

According to Delta and other users: 6 weeks

I've read that the virtual recruiting meetings were leading to top tier emails. I emailed pilot recruiting several days ago asking about when the new dates would be available. They responded yesterday that they had just posted the new dates. When I checked all the spots were completely filled. I think they were gone in less than 1 hour form posting. Anybody here have any idea on how else one could speak to a recruiter?
