Yes. Search for “Delta Perks”, then “Bose” within the perks site. It will redirect you to a Bose site which will ask for your work email to create an “employee” type account from which you get the discount.

Thanks, had to call. The Perks link is broken. Have to enter email address in the “My Bose” link at the top of the Bose.com page.

Hello,

I’ve interviewed few weeks ago and unfortunately was unsuccessful. They said I can be reconsidered in 90+ days. For those who experienced this before how does it go? Do you receive a top tire and the AON assessment again or just an interview invite date?

Thanks,

Hello DL pilots. SWA CA here and I am posting this on behalf of my son. He was recently hired at SWA against my own advice and I want him to work at a real airline. I hear his 2100tt, 737 type and 6 months at SKW could make him competitive at Delta... is this true? Hiring has changed so much since I was in the game I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

How much turbine time is in that 2100? As soon as it gets close to 1000 I would say yes, competitive.

As the son of a father who retired from a competing legacy airline, I fully appreciate that you are trying to help your son's career and that you want the best for him. That being said, your son should want to be at Delta, not pressured into it by his mother (assuming this based off your username). If he is happy at WN, let him be happy at WN. I went against my father's career advice to be where I knew I wanted to be.

But to answer your question, he is competitive. Have him attend a job fair or virtual recruiting event, and consolidate on the 73.

Yes, he’s competitive. But let him make his own decision. Honestly, that’s the hardest part of all parenting phases.

Look at it this way, he can be just another on the list of “Plumbers who quit” if/when he leaves for another carrier. ;)

FWIW, 6 months at skywest, went to an Lcc, got the top tier around 800 turbine time right after they removed the requirement for 1000. Starting class this month. Good luck!

Wow. A top tier candidate is now 800 hours of turbine? Thank you for the information. I thought maybe the inexperienced hiring was just a SWA deal but apparently not.

As with everything else, it depends. If he’s got a strong resume, relatively clean check ride history, volunteer time, etc. then yeah, probably so. Especially if they attend an event.

Lack some of those things? He may need more time. Either way, get an app submitted and go to an event if possible.
