Interview July 28th, got the email this morning for a class date of October 24th.

Another update for inquiring minds:

Top Tier: June 13
AON 24 hour notification: Sep 6
AON invitation: Sep 7
AON complete: Sep 7
Interview invite: Sep 8

Couldn't believe it (and still awaiting confirmation of interview date) but the choices available for interview dates were as early as this coming Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Sep 12, 13, 14).

Seems like maybe there's decent available bandwidth in the hiring machine possibly due to the summer slowdown? Hopefully that translates to sooner class date availability...

Thanks for the recent data points for the hiring process guys. It helps for sure.

Ive just submitted my application in July and currently just playing the waiting game. I saw one recent post saying it was about 3 months from app submit to TT email but can anyone else share their info? Is anyone aware if there is any rhyme or reason for when applications get reviewed? Is there anything on airline apps to let you know where its at or is all the info going to emailed directly from Delta?

Just trying to figure out if I should be getting concerned or not.

Thanks

I submitted my application in November after attending ATP-CTP at Delta. I did not have the minimum turbine time requirement at the time (it was still 1000 required then and I was at around 750). I updated my application mostly every day and definitely after every work day. Top Tier email came in mid June after they lowered the Turbine requirement to 500. It's certainly a waiting game so hopefully you are content at your current employer in the meantime.

There is no indication on Airline Apps that your application is under review. You will be in the dark until you aren't. The first thing you might get from them is a fix it email (I didn't get one so not sure what that looks like) and then a Top Tier email if selected to start the process. Expect a multi week wait after Top Tier (I waited almost 3 months).

I'm obviously not finished with the process yet but I can attest to the fact that once it starts it goes quick so I would prep as much as possible for the whole process starting now. Good luck!

June 22 TT

It might have been posted here already. I got my TT on June 22nd and saw a lot of June people getting the AONs. Is anyone near my date still waiting on their AON? Also, does anyone know of an email that I can message with questions should I not get the AON within a month or so? Thanks.

It all depends on your experience and whatever criteria the Pilot hiring team uses to select applicants.

I applied in October of 2022 and didn’t get the top tier e-mail until June 18th this year. I have almost 1,000 121 time, 5200 TT and 1700 TPIC. Nobody really knows what causes your app to be pulled.

You MAY receive a “fix-it” email from Delta when they first pull your app if everything isn’t perfect. This is what happened to me. Make sure you do exactly what they say in the “fix it” email then re submit. I got my Top Tier less than 24 hours after this.

I just received my invitation invite e-mail today after almost 3 months.

Patience is key. If you get the Top Tier, you WILL get the AON assessment, you just have to exercise patience.

I'm going to beat the old drum about the worth of having an application review performed by a consultant. It's not all about flight time. A primary culture aspect at Delta is the willingness/ability to to expand your team.
