At the end I told them about it and they laughed and said they would have brought it up if they wanted to talk about it. Can’t wait to start wearing the hat!

Better watch out. The never hatters will crucify you and call you a chump…..

They will learn to hate it as we all do.

Pilot Review Board

Hi all,

anyone have any information on the PARB process as of 2026? Interviewed this week and got the PARB email that night. Wondering how high the pass rate is, how long it’s taking to hear back. Basically just how worried should I be? If I get through the PARB does it delay my class date compared to others who interviewed same day as me? Thanks!

Not 2026, but I was the last hire class of 25 and got the PARB email before I was on the bus after the interview. I think it depends on what triggered it but it's well over 90% pass rate I believe. Just a waiting game at this point, the PARB meets once per month. From asking around I think they just double check for any show stoppers in your app (criminal record/DUI/anything weird in your background check that could relate to mental health). Congrats on the CJO and welcome to Delta.

I interviewed last fall, and also got the PARB email. I believe they told me the review board now meets weekly. With that being said, it took around 2-3 weeks until I got the official welcome aboard phone call. (I would suggest answering any random ATL area code phone calls).

The wait can be stressful, I but was told by other Delta pilots that it has a pretty high success rate. Keep being positive and I’m sure you will be good to go soon!

Congrats!

I was PARB’d when I went through and ended up in the same class as the rest of my interview peers. It took a very stressful two weeks to hear back, but as others have mentioned, there is a very high pass rate. Once you’ve made it that far, they feel pretty confident in what they’ve got.

Whatever they’re looking for PARB/shrink it doesn’t work.

I personally know wonderful, exceptional people and pilots that have been chopped, and plenty of people that make you wonder how they ever got hired here and made it through the process sitting next to me.

Thats every airline. Every operating room (just look at the psychos on ticktock threatening to un-alive their political opponents). Every board room. Every engineering office. There is and always will be the 1-2% and no process anywhere can screen or train it away 100%. Even a service academy grad got though who was an open communist. One astronaut wore a diaper to drive cross country for some drama with her boo thang. Hall of fame worthy athletes do drugs, beat their spouses and gamble on sports. Overall we do pretty well and have a pretty good group.

The process isn’t designed to be 100% because that’s not possible. Ever.
