I use it 100% of the time. I find it useful to ...
1) Know what's going on in the back (it can be quite entertaining, especially when everyone is trying to CYA during a delay.)
2) Notify the station (if they're using it) to disconnect air, ask for water, catering, ... without having to try to get a hold of them on the radio -- especially at JFK when "Ops" is also "Ramp Tower."
3) Ask everyone for an early departure at the same time.
4) Notify everyone that pilots will be late due to transportation issues.
5) Ask the Gate Agent to bring down RLS2, or 3, or 6 because of new notam somewhere.
I think it's one of the more useful inventions of the last few years. Especially now that more and more outstation ops are using it.

Might consider briefing FA’s maintenance shall be coordinated through the Captain, not FF. Nothing like the first time you find yourself delayed for maintenance you didn’t know you had called in from the back 😑

A very good reason for somebody to at least split-screen FF in the cockpit.
