787 = trash. You do long haul in a 767 (which I dearly love) and then do it in an Airbus and you will know what I am talking about.

What about a 787 is pine-worthy?

Is there something notable about it other than it being a product of The Zombie Company?

Except that we still do not get the range/performance/lift capability that was promised. There’s that.

To meet comfort standards, Delta would need to run the 787 in the 2x4x2 seat config. The economy seats on United 787's are smaller than DCI's CRJ 200s.

What was the last airplane that did?

And BTW... what is your source that it isn't performing "as promised"? When we were doing DTW-PEK and DTW-PVG, we were going out at max gross and a full load of passengers. What more were we asking?

IIRC, it wasn’t able to do LAX-SYD with an alternate until we got the higher MTW mod with the taller winglets.

Edit: changed ATL to LAX (thanks GoneFlying)
