I pine for the 787 and love the 757 and I have never personally trained north of the Mason/Dixon line........I get a little melancholy whenever I think about the fact that at our current situation, I'll likely have to learn Airbus before I am able to retire off of a "wide body"..... unless the 75/76 enter a serious SLEP program. The way the 75's are being used lately (as 88 replacements) doesn't bode well for their long term life though.

To meet comfort standards, Delta would need to run the 787 in the 2x4x2 seat config. The economy seats on United 787's are smaller than DCI's CRJ 200s.

And BTW... what is your source that it isn't performing "as promised"? When we were doing DTW-PEK and DTW-PVG, we were going out at max gross and a full load of passengers. What more were we asking?
