Nope, it was a DEN turn and a day long Midwest overnight then a Texas overnight. I figured maybe it was to fluff up reserve levels?

Nope, works just like coming off an off day. If on schedule 9hrs prior to 30hr rest ending they can have you report as early as 10hrs after rest ends....

PWA says you have to make yourself aware of anything placed on your schedule because scheduler doesn’t have to call you…when you make yourself aware is up to you.
You are free to check your schedule 1 minute after your 30hr rest ends, but you may find a rotation or SC on your schedule that starts in exactly 10hrs.
And since this a Reserve thread, there is a mandatory schedule check, via Icrew or VRU, that must be done within 30 min of block in from a RES rotation.

Ok, so maybe I’m mistaken here. But you are saying that they can not assign you anything until 10 hours AFTER the end of a 30 hr rest period? Reference please? I’ve never seen that (I occasionally bid reserve, would be nice to know). Thanks.

If you haven't been made aware of/acknowledged an assignment that takes place at the completion of your rest, you are back on long call.
Now you need an additional 10hrs rest before being assigned an RAP or 12hrs before being assigned a FDP.
