I don’t know, it may have been a close out sale. It’s the Apex collection but all I can find anywhere is the 4-wheel spinner. Seems like the upright is no where to be found. Hopefully they’ll bring it back but who knows.

Not sure what you’re packing but I’ve had it for 5 years on the -88 and the 717 and have never had an issue getting into the FO baggage cubby.
You are right in that the balance is opposite of some other bags. I had to think about it for a bit but I do remember there being an adjustment period when I first got the bag. You just have to switch your hand when you walk. For a bag that “falls” forward with its balance you need to hold it underhand so that the weight is pressing down into the palm of your hand. With this bag you need to hold it overhand so that as it tries to stand back up it is pressing into the palm of your hand the other way. It’s the same, just opposite. I can see how trying to hold it underhand like other bags would cause issues. I’ve dragged it countless miles through airports and haven’t thought about it in years so it’s just something you get used to.

Its light holds as much and handling qualities are acceptable. The tote is a bit large. So I'm back to using my LW tote (its a bit smaller and balances better). I fashioned the J-hook for it using the strap provided with the Andare bag

Third trip with the bag, I like it much better than the large LW bag I was using. Fits in overheads (except RJs) like a normal bag (the large LW bag would only go in length wise which would get you some stink eye from FAs)

After several trips with the Andare 22" Apex, I can confirm my dislike of the bag strap. It routinely disconnects from the top clip and I finally lost the strap. It was on the bag when I boarded, but nowhere to be found after crossing the ocean. $25 to replace the strap. When I called about a replacement strap, they suggested putting a rivet or a screw through the strap to secure it to the bag. So much for aesthetics. I'm bringing my LW out of retirement for the next trip until I overcome my cheapness and spend 25% of the purchase price on a new bag strap. The bag handled a week (4 legs) worth of clothes plus 2 liters from duty free, but the strap is a weak point.

I loosened the screws under the lining and placed 2 small black zip ties around the strap connection to secure it! Took 5 minutes and will provide a permanent solution. Just wish the strap was 2" longer.

Crew luggage closet in the D1 cabin. I think it fell off when I laid the bag down on the FA JS while stowing my duty free purchase or when stuffing it in the closet. Didn't notice it was missing til deplaning hours later. Nowhere to be found on the floor. I wasn't missing my flight home to no look any longer.
