Nope. The sick leave policy for verification prior was you could verify any illness by doctor or health care pro and it never went against your hundred hours of unverified balance.
Now, unless you break a bone, or spend the night in the hospital, every other sick call goes against your 100 hour balance. And once you hit the 100 hour balance..all sick calls have to be verified after. A big loss in sick leave benefit, IMHO.

Was that not in both TA1 and 2? I get no one like verification but the majority of pilots each year never have to verify anything. If you read the union section on sick leave you will see the companies justification for the request. Sick leave usage jumped 30% when we restored sick leave hours to 270 in the 2012 contract. The interesting part was that 20% of the pilots accounted for almost all of that 30% increase and are competing airlines saw no increase in sick leave usage.

Lol, Ed doesn't think about pilots at night...

Did the FA really get a 4% payraise?

So, by that rationale, we should accept whatever crumbs (or paycuts) the company is offering in the interest in re-setting the clock. Even if it’s a net loss compared to inflation? Man, sometimes it’s really hard to tell what side you’re on, actually, it really seems like you aren’t on our (pilots) side at all. I guess all there is left to say is; “noted”.

I dont understand how after 15 years of posts- immediate responses to anything that paints the company or management in a negative way, through all hours of any given day- anyone could believe the Sailingfun account is one person or even remotely pro-pilot.

This. I've thought the same thing for years.

Yet I put post after post on here telling pilots how to maximize income via using every aspect of the contract and how to insure getting paid for violations. I am as pro pilot as you will find. I want the best contract we can get. We all agree on that. We disagree on how best to accomplish that. I know what has worked over the last 35 years and I know what has been a miserable failure. We have one again gone the failure route. I also was taught praise in public and criticize in private. This is a public forum. I was also taught that if you believe in something you sign your name to it. When I am critical of management they know exactly who I am. They have called me on it and I have stood by my positions. Most on here hide behind their keyboards.

And your name is?

Sorry if I missed your name on the post.

This forum would be so much better if no one was hiding their name.

I would vote yes for an 8 percent raise effective Jan 1, 2020 followed by another 8 percent on January 1, 2021 followed by another 8 percent on January 1, 2022.
