I think the video is just as fraught with indiscretions. Covertly videoing a crew member for what purpose? This could be a security issue. Trying to get security stuff from his kindle or phone.
I don’t see anything prosecutable. I just spent a week at the beach and saw way more photo taking.

Legal arguments aside, I don’t trust the decision-making or the SA of this Captain. 54 year old father of grown kid(s) (as reported on Reddit…unverified) should know better - particularly in uniform with another passenger in the same row. What other risks is he willing to take for what other motivations? I’m a little spooked that this fellow is/was presumably making decisions for the crew and passengers of our air line. Any one of our flight attendants or first officers who wants to will know the identity of this knucklehead and have plenty of justification to refuse working with him. For you folks who don’t see a problem here…thanks for reaffirming my decision never to go to law school.

What would you do if a gate agent came up and took a picture of the backside of your wife or daughter while you were boarding the airplane? What if the employee bus boy snapped a picture of your wife as she walked to the bathroom? You give him a high five?

I am not a lawyer, nor a FOM/PWA exper,t but I don't see him getting into job trouble over this. I don't think being a creep is a fireable offense. If I'm wrong I'm sure we'll all find out soon enough.

Look, the guy is asking a valid question. Heres a valid answer: your in uniform, the pwa aint saving you if you bring delta into a reddit thread. You cant do **** in the uniform.
One of 1000 reasons to not wear the uniform commuting. You never know what the internet is going to find offensive tomorrow, hide the hat, wear street clothes, bury the badge.

It doesn't matter what I would do in the situations you posit. Nor am I defending his actions.
