CA vacancy?

You’ve got to be kidding? The help he needs? How can anyone defend this? “Well, it’s not in the PWA!” GMAFB. Sometimes a turd is just a turd no matter how you cut it and should be deal with accordingly. I can assure you the PWA, FOM, etc. will not protect you from incidents that make their way to the CEO’s desk. The only ‘help’ this guy needs is at least a public shaming with a side of Will Smith and at worst to be fired immediately for cause. Something something about ATPs needing to be of good moral character?
Find where I was defending him. I’m not talking ALPA help. This is bigger than him keeping his job.
Help…as in:
He knows this is wrong and did it anyway. Pretty obvious with how he was trying to hide it. There is something off as rational people don’t behave like this. He needs help as in counseling, maybe therapy. I don’t know the guy, but something drove him to act like this. Maybe he’s been like this his entire life, don’t know. But when it comes down to it, he’s still a person. We shouldn’t take him out back and shoot him, despite his inexcusable actions.
Again, I hope he gets the help he needs to make him a better person.

You beat me to it.
Watching the video it’s difficult to determine exactly what he was attempting to accomplish, but if it’s true the guy has a serious problem. Everything about this job comes down to judgement. Engaging in a sleazy, predatory behavior, in public while in uniform demonstrates a complete lack of common sense, judgement and good taste. He does have a promising career in politics though.
I’m a commuter. A short 40 minute flight. Also my category has very frequent DH’s. I wear the uniform out of convenience. When I’m a passenger I put on the Bose noise cancelling headphones and listen to audio books, podcasts or music. Phone stays in my pocket. I don’t talk to other passengers. I mind my own business. I might get accused of being somewhat unsociable. Doubt I’ll get fired for that.

Wearing the uniform as a nonrev/deadhead/whatever is stupid in this day and age. Sure, you can control yourself and be sure you’re not doing anything abnormal, but you can’t control others, especially those with an agenda and a camera. Why risk it?
A pullover takes 2 minutes to take out of your nav bag and put on, it’s worth the protection.

Lmfao I’ve never been robbed but I still take care not to flash money around in sketchy areas.
Lmfao I’ve never been murdered in my bed but I still lock my doors at night.
All it takes is once.
But maybe you have ultimate faith in your $800 shoes that you can just run away if something goes wrong.
