Hmmm. When I get randomed I take off my pullover and put on my hat. Never had a problem with them confiscating my $80 bourbon. OR,.... once thru KCM put on the pullover if you feel like you must wear your uniform thru KCM.

Makes me wonder. I've taken pictures of lots of people in the terminal during the holiday that I showed to my kids to explain why I had to work over Christmas. Showed them pictures of peeps in Christmas sweaters and holiday garb and big effin smiles(most taken without asking consent and surreptitiously) I certainly won't do that again.

I'm curious if the hew and cry to fire would be the same if it was a female pilot taking a picture of a male flight attendant? If not, why not?

What if it was just a normal pax taking the photo....would they be placed on the DO NOT FLY LIST and banned for life? If not, why not?

I was commuting in uniform once and there was as a very loud passenger on their phone at the gate talking about how many f-ing bowls he smoked last night and had more cuss words thrown in. It continued on taxi out. The flight attendant either didn’t notice or ignored it all. It was kind of bizarre. Could I have said something- yes. Should I have - I didn’t think so at the time. Eventually a passenger had enough and told him to get off his phone just before takeoff. Then that pax turned and glared at me as of why didn’t you do that? No uniform commute for me after that. Not because of something I did or didn’t do but because of I was damned if I did something and damned if I didn’t. No thanks.

yep! Never for me either, pullover takes seconds to put on. Pilots and FA know who u are but the avg pax has no idea

I’m not sure this hypothetical whatabout-ism is relevant. This situation isn’t about sexism, it’s about responding to and preventing sexual harassment, regardless of who the perpetrator and victim are.

If what we’ve seen is what it appears to be, I don’t think it unreasonable that a company would fire someone who acts in this way. This type of behavior is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Just imagine future crew dynamics with female FOs/FAs being extra on guard once they find out they’re assigned with this guy.
