The problem is that there was a mistake in the original transcribing of what CE Woolman wrote. He said "Always keep your dills" because he was a big pickle fan. He never ate a meal without them. Eggs and gherkins. Soup and bread and butters. Roast lamb and spicy. But his favorite were dills.

It originally was just a memo to the catering department when they were looking at cutting costs. He said "You can give everyone boxed meals for all I care, especially the greedy pilots, but always keep your dills." Someone in the archives department wrote it down wrong when they were going through all his papers for the flight museum. These things happen.

FWIW, the "Global Cleanliness Standard" on DLnet (which is wholly ignored by every single cleaning crew) says the cleaners are not to clean the lav with passengers on board. I guess if they go in and close the door behind them, noone really knows, but still. Just another document which is not enforced.
The critical path to turning an airplane is the cabin cleaners. Nothing else. Airplanes with a 2L door have a distinct advantage in that the cleaners can do first class first while gulag class is still deplaning, and when they move back there, first can be boarded. But alas, SWA doesn't fly anything with a 2L door, so Boeing gave up on that as well. Just one more reason why the 757 is the best airplane Boeing has built in the last 50 years.

Your argument is interesting though. I don't know without taking a poll whether or not cleaners cost more than we gain. I doubt seriously whether either moves the needle much tbh.

That's hilarious.

Yep. His passionate advocacy for all things cucurbitaceae was the primary reason he was recruited by Huff-Daland Duster in the first place. “Keep Vining” was his motto.

The funny thing is .....this(APC posters) is not a representative sample of the "average pilot". It is the minority that have an agenda to push that post here. Therefore, not representative(of DAL pilots).

Over at UAL, at 4pm EST today 24 Nov, they have had a total of 1 post today..... that's it.... 1 total post all day for 16 hours. Not represenative of the Borg, or their 16,500 pilots. Nor is the vocal minority that post here at DAL representative.

Delta seems to have a preponderance of pilots that have an axe to grind, consider themselves the smartest person in the room, or need a hobby.

10 DAL peeps that feel disrespected and are ready to "burn it down" will soon get you to NWA or AA as far as labor relations(good luck with that). Who started it or bears total blame(not my call, I don't care)?

Some think the Palestinians and Hamas are justified in their actions, others think Isreal is justified. The Palestinians support the actions of Hamas at 75% and support wiping Israel off the map. When you ask the rest of the world, it has a different concept and percentage. Perspective is in the eye of the beholder and the prejudices one brings to the table.

My suggestion is, don't use the vocal minority of APC posters as the themometer of the true pulse of the average DAL pilot.

If you do, you either are, or will be, one of those captains that is "shaking his fist at the sky" that is a prevalent meme here or will be "that" captain when you upgrade.

Sorry, I don't do Facebook nor Tick Tock. Maybe you can give me your insight and some actual commentary as to your perceptions. I don't do homework.

Do you think the attitudes posted on APC are indicative of the vast majority of DAL pilots? That was my point. What is yours?

BTW...it's now 6pm EST and still 1 posting thread opined about on UAL APC for the day!. Do you think APC is representative of the Borg whether it's DAL or UAL or AA?

This is one area where the -88 beat every other fleet. With the aft stairs boarding first class could start as soon as the cleaners cleaned FC. Then as the cleaners worked their way backwards more cabin zones could be boarded. Then the cleaners just went out the tail of the plane with the plane probably at least half boarded.
