If we kept the airplanes clean enroute we could turn them much faster. The coach cabins on Delta flights are a pig sty compared to American. I fly both quite a bit on long hauls and the American FA's make multiple runs through the cabin front to back picking up trash. Then they come back to front to make sure they get the stuff out of the seat pockets. When you deplane coach looks about like when you boarded. At Delta the flight attendants often only make one pass back to front and at the speed they are moving it's hard to get rid of trash. When you deplane coach is just a mess. It's even worse on international. You wade through the garbage.

I get that, I have a two lines tho, one is 401k excess which I’ve always seen, and now 401k excess plus has also showed up. I didn’t know what that was, I assumed something different since it has a different line on my paystub.

Combined contribution limit: IRC 415(c)(1)(A) limits the total of your contributions and the Company contributions to the Delta 401(k) Retirement Plan for Pilots to $66,000 for 2023. This limit includes your “401(K),” “ROTH401,” and/or “401k (After Tax)” contributions, but does not include your catch-up contributions. If you reach the combined limit, all further Company contributions are paid as taxable wages and coded on your pay statement as “401(k) Excess.” This amount is not subject to ALPA dues.
Compensation limit: IRC 401(a)(17) limits Delta’s 16% contribution to the first $330,000 of your earnings for 2023. If you earn more than this amount (including profit sharing), Delta’s 16% contribution for earnings in excess of $330,000 will be paid to you as taxable wages and coded on your pay statement as “401(k) Excess Plus.” This amount is subject to ALPA dues.

What are you guys seeing for release times for FOs that are bought off for training? I know schedules will call you the night prior but my last commute flight into base is at 1915 Mecca (ATL) time. Is it realistic to get realeased prior to that time? ANyone have any luck proactively calling schedules the night prior to get realeased or do we pretty much have to wait until they call us? Worst case, I guess I fly in and then go home the next morning which is still a good deal.
I haven't been released for training in years so I am not sure of the current procedures.
Thanks Scoop
