Whenever one door closes, another one opens.

Just as the company has somewhat devalued 18-hour LC by maximizing SC use, pilots have found ways to devalue GFB. I suspect that when they compare data on sick use between the high-GFB time period and the low-GFB time period, they’ll see little difference. If anything, widespread GFB use may result in statistically higher sick use.

Fighting IMSAFE and state sick law is a losing battle in today’s industry.

Got a GFB? You’re free to PW that 4-day sitting in open time that starts the day after your sick rotation ends, even if there’s a chance your sickness may not be fully resolved by then. None of those hours can be counted toward the verification threshold following the GFB.
If you white slip a trip while sick, they will changed it to a personal drop. Ask me how I know.

That’s a blatant contract violation, especially if the WS was outside of your sick footprint at the time and was awarded by PCS. Crew assist pay claim + STS = easy win.

Brain fart: why am I getting GS pay if I’m not at the trigger yet but already flew a GS?

Are you getting full GS pay? If you are close to the trigger you will get partial GS pay for the remainder of the rotation after the first part of the GS takes you over the trigger.

Or is there something like VAC pay that you're not taking into account? What does your timecard say under Credit Applicable to GS Pay?

Not trying to insult your intelligence, but are you a reserve? If so, there is no trigger. If not, then it will use part of your gs to get to the trigger (this will show under the GS credit sections), then you'll just have gs pay for the difference. If you pick up anything else later in the month the GS credit will reduce and your GS pay will go up.

Awwww……it takes too long to cover trips now…..boohoo.

And I also see that they’re basically BOLD printing that we shouldn’t run the APU. Nice.

Less than a week after the company made more headlines for another dangerously hot cabin. Can’t make this stuff up.

My takeaway from that email was to FCR every time ground air is insufficient and run the APU onwards.

It's more work on us to file an FCR than it is to just run the APU for inadequate ground air, but if it's data they want... do both.

Let the flood of FCR for inadequate ground air commence!

Once again another passive aggressive note from the overlords.

Not only air but we have issues with ground power working at the gates at many of the stations as well. There's more than one reason to keep the APU running. I don't see that mentioned. Air and GP not usually an issue for where I go, but I guess on the NB side it is. FCR away everyone. Not that it will change anything.......and mind the cabin temps, no excuse for a hot cabin out there (other than APU on MEL) despite what "they" want.

No ground air/power or the ground air is like a blow dryer, leave APU on (or start it up) and file FCR.
