3) Remove scheduler discretion from awarding SCs above 6
4) Sick if needed on reserve
5) Remove reserve (and reroute) carveouts from consecutive sub 12 hr layovers
6) Remove reserve carve out for reroutes needing to violate an X day to get the punitive reroute pay.

Cause the only other thing you could have meant was unilaterally giving tons of concessions to the company.

Reserve was improved during the last contract. Let’s keep improving it, not give it away.
The bold part is a big one for me. L.9 only applying to an X day is a travesty.

This right here.

And all of this.

The chief complaints about RES here are due to lack of coverage. We're a shrinking pilot group, and have been for the last 18 months at least. The pain this creates is for the more junior RES people who now can't move any X days and get SC assigned to the max where they commute in and sit in the CPO for 6 hours unused, while. The only changes that need to be made to the RES rules is plugging all the gaps that we left open the last time.

Post # 9920 on the previous page is a great start.

Anyone know if the refinery fire in El Segundo (just south of LAX) has had any impact on operations?

Reading (depending on the severity of the shutdown/repair estimates) this would be a blip for <3 days, small bite <10 days, major impact >10 days.

Eh. That thing sets itself on fire every few years. It's probably fine.

Fixing 23M7 is lipstick on a pig. Until this current PWA cycle it was never an issue. Time to sort out the coverage process whether that entails altering the reserve rules(which I think would help and I think many would be open to with the SC fiascos, etc), or mandating proper training of schedulers, etc.

I’ve been told by very intelligent folks in ALPA that the alteration of the reserve rules in this current PWA, drive a tremendous amount of the failed coverage sequences.

Id be totally fine going back to our old reserve rules. 18hr LC has backfired in my opinion.
So compliance is not a thing and we should just make deals that benefit their chosen behavior? They have the tools they need, they CHOOSE not to use them. We gave them an accommodation that doubled the lead time for assigning open time. The CHOOSEN method for implementing ARCOS is what is the problem. If they are going to use massive batch sizes then people will take all proffers and the time to evaluate them. If they company is willing to go back to individual calls for GSs and 24 open time coverage then sure we can go back to the past. That won't happen.

I don't think you've done RES under the old or new system and have no understanding of reserve. I think the coverage impact the company has CHOOSEN has negatively impacted you and now you choose to opine.

how about keep the 18 hour callout but remove the 2-day prior lockout?

Is love to go back to day-prior scheduling. Is be surprised if the company would do that with an 18-hour callout though?

Yeah I’m with you and only 75% in category. Rolling 5-6 days a month average of having to leave my house for delta over the course of the last 2 years. NYC ER A. ALV and tossing in 4-6 SCCs a month as a bonus. Bliss. CX500 on the same page as us.

Not sure how long this will last on the ER. Fleet drawdowns always cause staffing to get goofy.
