They also save on reroute, carve, additional ADG credit, etc. if something happens to the scheduled DH after the pilot deviates. None of that is in dispute though.

At issue here is that the company is attempting to retract pay if a scheduled DH falls apart BEFORE a pilot actually calls to deviate. If, on the last day of your trip, your scheduled DH is already delayed with an arrival time past midnight, your rotation will show an additional 2 hours of carve pay before you deviate. As soon as you call to deviate, that pay will disappear from your rotation. That’s a violation of the agreed-upon interpretation on SRH page 231.
One add I'd like to see in the new contract is having the same "front of the line" for Comf+ upgrades on DDH that we currently have on scheduled DH.

No, not that, C+/PS/FC/D1 window or aisle as soon as you deviate, which needs to be as soon as the DH is on your line, front AND back end, AND they bump a passenger if it's not available or pay us 100% add pay if we don't get the seat, 150% add pay if we involuntarily sit in ANY middle seat.

Also, any DDH to/from our airport/home of record gets the same treatment as a DH to/from base, meaning if we need the seat on a sold out flight they get it for us. Any other destination gets us #1 on the standby list which keeps rolling as #1 to the next flight until we get on.

Vac days aren't the most efficient use of them fot sure, but all is not lost. On the 717, rarely does a day break 5+15, so washing them for 7 hour days isn't really a thing. Im getting close to doubling my vacation for next year. Thanks to PB days, I'll likely be able to nearly take the entire summer off next year. Love being full with just vacation. Theb only flying if I'm called for an IA/GS or a SS.

I've always been able to find a trip for 7+ hours on the 717, and there are usually a lot in the ~6:45 range. Most of your 7 hour days are some sort of 4 leg day through MSP, like ATL-CLT-MSP-IND-MSP, or something along those lines.

OK - I see what you are saying here.and that definitely makes it more of a gray area, but IMHO I still think its pretty far down the list of needed PWA improvements. Speaking of needed improvements whats with all the blocked seats when flying PS? I am booking flights to training and also DV8 flights, and often see seats blocked. Am I hallucinating or is this a thing?

Vacation can be purchased. 4:30 is half of what is possible. You could up to double your vacation if you wash PBs. Even at 6:53 you’re getting 3 for 2. 2 for 1 should be the goal though.

Agree with all that and that's the plan if I see high time day in the packet. But for Sept, we had one rotation that even broke 5+15. Much more common on the 73N/320, than the 717.

9 hour day-1 block simply does not exist on the 717. Ever.

For the slow learners like me, just so I have this right.

You wash a PB day for say 9 hours, this is pay and credit. Once above 80 hours that month you can deposit any earned hours above 80 into your full service bank and then use those hours to purchase vacation days. Rinse and repeat thru all your PBs.

This is correct. Caveat being that you are on a fleet that has access to said day-1 9 hour trips. Which I guess is every fleet but 717, for which this advice/technique still applies, but the math gets more wishy washy. As a serial RES bidder, there is added benefit to letting PB days roll into more SUPP VAC to be used during RES months, while having to bid a REG line just to wash PB days in a piddly (6 hours or less) manner isn't as enticing.
