My experience has been 2-3 days after trip ends.

Your schedule should show RR in the margin right away, however.

You can also recovery slip or choose to drop without pay, certain exemptions apply.

Also, you can recovery slip not on the day of the 23k as long as it's at least half the value of the 23k dropped trip

Been awhile since I've been REG but I think you can designate a 50% "makeup trip" in the next month too.

my apologies, but where in the margins? I am going back as well and realizing that I got rerouted in may into a day off and there’s nothing that says reroute on that time card……….

again, my apologies for another ad on question, but I’ve never submitted any kind of pay inquiry. Is it on the Alpa website?

edit: I talked to Scheduling, and unless the reroute expands the footprint of the original trip, it doesn’t show up as RR yet until a pay specialist looks at it

RR will only show if the footprint of your rotation changes. It will show RS if spills over into the next month. It means absolutely nothing beyond that. That function was tied to some previous definition of reroute. They just gave up trying to code the "new" reroute pay, and just left it as a manual pay modifier like every other hacked up change since 2015.

I know most know this, but DBMS is absolutely ancient. I think they turned in on in 1980. There is stuff left over from 6-8 past contracts, like duty period average, which hasn't been in the contract for more than 10 years.

I have RR immediately to the right of the date on last trip that I was rerouted. Yes, the footprint did change.

Understood. I’m not able to pick up anything currently in open time, so I suspect I’ll end up with a trip my seniority allowed me to avoid.

Just surprised that a company business decision (equipment change) weeks out constitutes an IROP.

First time in this situation. Dug into the PWA and am surprised how broad the IROP definition is.

I'd just keep an eye out. You never know when something juicy will drop. And you can always refuse the recovery as a PD

You should request that they add the 23K designation to your schedule (ie drop it with a recovery obligation) so you can pick up a recovery slip anywhere between today and the end of the August bid period. They’re supposed to notify you of changes as soon as practical per 23G1 and you should be given the opportunity to exercise your place on the trip coverage ladder (top dog, first step) with a valid 23J slip.

If they don’t do it in time, it’s still a missed step of coverage when the run the coverage ladder.

Can take up to 7 days after release. Submit a crew assist case if it does not appear after that point.
