This is egregious behavior. It must stop. It's obvious this person has an already established relationship with CT/CS (i.e. not their first time doing this). So "education" and a "warning" will fall on deaf ears. This needs to go right to Article 8. The warning was in the Feb 25 MEC alert. This person obviously ignored that "warning" so for me it seems this needs to go right to an Article 8.
This is why we can't have nice things. These people need to be made an example of.

This person is not new here at DAL. It's obvious, and with a little detective work from the MEC, that this person has done this before. This is a form of wage theft, it's no different than the company's failure to properly pay us IAW the PWA. To me this is more egregious because it's one of our own doing this to other pilots.
This stuff has been going on for a few years now. The MEC finally highlighted it thru MEC Alert 25-02 and then passed AI 23-101. If you read AI 23-101, they can skip the talking and go straight to Article 8. Talking and highlighting this behavior hasn't stopped it. It's time someone is made an example of.
AI 23-101 is easy to find, go to MEC alert 25-02 (February) and there is a hyperlink to the AI. Go read it. Also Article 8 is expulsion from the union. It won't end their career here.

You need to go read Action Item (AI) 23-101.

My apologies for the pedigree of AI 23-101 and MEC 25-02.
For me this is a question of integrity. For this person to do this AFTER MEC alert 25-02 was published is rather bold. Says much about the individual involved here. I trust the MEC to do what's right and I will live with whatever actions they deem appropriate for this situation. If that's a warning, or talking to then so be it. The ball is in their court on this one.

we are a union shop. Union membership is required as a condition of our employment. I may be mistaken, I believe it’s in the PWA and the FOM. He gets 8’d and he’s unemployed. Paying back several years of ill gotten gains, may be punishment enough & discourage others as well.
and why not public shaming? I haven’t looked him up yet… publish his name, cell & email address here.
the above doesn’t work & he does it again…. Yes… 8’d & gone.

Anyone else tired of Delta just completely melting down every IROP? I understand this was a big hail event and there is of course going to be major disruption, but the way things melt down completely here is embarrassing. Why do the phone lines always go down? Isn't dispatching via unrecorded cell phone a FAR violation? Why does it take hours and hours to get through to crew accomodations to then wait even longer to not be assigned a hotel? Why haven't we invested in better technology or hired more schedulers for IROPS? Instead, flight ops has been blowing money on failed uniforms and obsessing over APU usage and hat wearing, tracking commutes, and harassing people for sick calls.
The amount of unnecessary money lost during these IROPS dwarfs any possible savings from not running APUs and roasting our passengers.

MSP LECs ought to pull every reroute this guy has had since 2020 and see how many times he's bypassed the negotiated coverage ladder, then publish how many occasions and how much $$$. I can guarantee this is not his first rodeo.
