That being said, only a-holes advocate against their union brethren and side with management, so…

If management doesn’t care then why wear it? If management does care then help out by not wearing it!
Boggles my mind.

Strikes are a thing of the past.
Real leverage right now would be a lack of revenue due to a lack of pilots thanks to one of the carriers getting a great contract.
We saw that happen fast with the regionals.
But all of the majors are enjoying that nobody has cracked yet. And meanwhile we are catching up with hiring.
Our best leverage point was this past spring.

99% voted to strike too. They are either too scared to show their true colors in public, or "I know what's the best strategy, the MEC is dumb and everyone is wrong except me".....or both

Truly, negotiations hinge on the smallest of details.

Wear the hat if you want or don’t wear it if that’s your preference. I won’t judge you on that single attribute and I ask you not to judge me.
I’m fairly new to this game and unions but I’ll support the team to the best of my ability. EB doesn’t seem like the kind to be influenced by our campaigns until it shows a clear impact on the numbers. That’s just business. I just hope his negotiating strategy does not cause irreparable harm to those of us who will be here long after he has cashed out with his millions.

From: Representing the REAL Delta
1) Delta was giving theNorthwest guys crap for showing up to training with jeans.
2) CQC mentions wearing your uniform when dealing with customers. In bold the say “including your hat”
3) I thought this was urban legend until I heard it myself twice: “We are the best pilots because of our uniform”
4) We are universally known for being business casual hardcore for jumpseaters.
They care more than you see. Now stand up for yourself a little bit.
