That seems overly optimistic.

This is flat wrong. Totally disconnected from what’s actually going on.

Bringing a deal to us that only passed the MEC 9-8 would be a grave error. TA1 all over again.

Additionally, stirring the pot in this manner causes all kinds of speculations about acceptable deals to bubble to the surface, providing vital intelligence as to the bottom line of the pilot group.

Hardly less farfetched than many things I've read, and if you think they don't heavily monitor social media, you would be mistaken. I, for one, would certainly tip my hat with a "well played" to management if they were actually so clever as to do this.
I’ve been reading this and the other threads and I haven’t seen much that would tell management we are tired and ready for ANY AIP. When these trial balloons have been floated, more posters say that (insert percent increase here) would never pass Memory Rat (sorry sailing, couldn’t resist). If I were management, and I’ve tried to view these threads as if I were recently, I’d be reluctant to try and send a mediocre agreement to the negotiators, unless I didn’t want to achieve an agreement, which is also a possibility, but I do think they want to get this done now.

Don’t worry… if the economy tanks before anyone else gets a good contract, I’m sure management at that respective company won’t be afraid to ask our Negotiating Committee to “Hold my beer”…
Yea, God didn’t need to sink it cause the Captain’s own disregard for not taking the Ice Berg report seriously and steering a little further south Did the job unfortunately.

considering C16 already said they'll vote no no matter what, I think you're whiffing on this one

Wasn’t their radio operator sleeping (rest break, not dereliction of duty) when the serious iceberg reports were coming in from the ships further along in the crossing? The reports the Captain was privy to were from ships further north in the Atlantic and he didn’t think they posed a risk to his route, I thought. Just my History Channel knowledge.

Sorry for the thread drift.
