We're so desperate to get seats into the system that we're flying the Lion Air 737-900s without wifi, IFE, or the full cabin retrofit.
And with only 6 FC seats, and one row of C+. They are pretty crazy to look at, but they are throwing them in a lot of short high density routes, so it’s working. They have lots of jump seats though! Works nice for commuters.

Fwiw, some of them do have IFE and wifi.

Yes. It is a short differences course between the 2. 9 month seat lock due to the short training footprint.

So I’m assuming that a person can only fly one or the other not like united where you fly both?

The 767-400 is its own category. They only fly that airframe, not the 757 or 767-300.

The 767/757 category flies all the different types of the 757 and 767 EXCEPT the 767-400, due to the different panel, ie. Flat screen vs round dials.

There was a time 20 years ago when Delta tried to lump in the 767-400 with the 777 but the FAA said no.

From what I understand the FAA was ok with some lumping but they were going to require that pilots maintain landing currency in all variants and the company felt that would be way too complicated to keep up with so they never implemented it.
