In a WB (4/99/4) category, you can't PD day 3 of a 5 day block, you can PB day 3.

And if you can turn those banked PB days into ~8+ hours of pay each you'll more than make up for the ~4:30 loss in pay when you PD a reserve day.

Your incorrect on "no specific benefit," because you can't GS on PD days as a reserve. But I agree if your hope is for the highest W2 at the end of the year. I'm more of a, least TAFB/nights aways from home kind of guy.

Kudos. Someone that takes the time off over the coin. Good for you.

This is the way for a junior guy to get 2 weeks off in the summer months

My trips will only be 8+ hours on day one. I'd be willing to swap them a few times and either end up with the trip or be willing to give it up for the ability to use my PBs. Please check the SWAP only posts if you are willing to do the PB dance.
Anyone have success with this? I need to burn 5 pb days myself. I'm finding it difficult to find someone willing to play hot potato. No hits on the swap board.

Go through the wide report and find the people who have the day(s) off required. Get their contact info on icrew and reach out to them. Obviously their schedules could have changed but it is a start, and remember they must have the WS pickup limit available to WS the specific trip. If your fleet has a FB group you could also ask on there.

I'm RES for JAN but will be REG for FEB so the new friend invites may not be going out yet. FB goup for the airplane seems to have some ads for PB swaps, I'd try that too. FEB and MAR were the hot months last year for people with several PBs wanting to cash in before APR.

I skimmed this thread but didn't see a mention of it, but does anyone know if we keep the EDP, SIT, etc. when burning PBs? I think it was covered in a Scheduling Alert that OE trip drops pay everything except Holiday pay so just wondering if anyone has 1st hand experience with PBs?

Does anyone know if there are restrictions or hang ups to doing this within 48 hours? 24 hours?
