KR did an interview recently and explained why he's back with BL. He said he disagreed with their stance. But he's willing to forgive and forget. And maybe they gave him some serious $$$$ to maybe come back over IDK, I only watched part fo the interview, but it seems he was happy with how they figured out they made a mistake and were willing to correct it somewhat. Not all is as it appears.

 

Ok, if you're trolling for me I'll bite. Yeah, still not sporting the dome of obedience. I really like getting the stink eye from the ATL crowd though, so as long as I'm triggering them I'll continue sans hat. Going on 4 years now. It's liberating. You should try it. I doffed the horse blanket as well. NF all the way. We originate and fly to some locales where the horse blanket just doesn't cut it. And when I'm doing the walk around in the snow storm, yeah it works great! (I still do walkarounds for the FOs on the return leg. Relief gives me a strange look, but I must admit I like walking around the big jet, keeps me grounded plus they have all the trading cards so I give them a chance to interface with the D1 and HVC's when I've escaped outside).

We’d be hatless as well if most of our pilot group didn’t race to put them back on to “uphold our end of the deal” after the new contract was signed. Nevermind the fact that the contract hasn’t been fully implemented, nor is management adhering to all of the sections that are.

I’m not personally offended by it though I do think it’s a bit silly if legit. I imagine the offensive part is relegating one race to “lower case” while another is “upper case.” Optics and all.

Serious question: would it be offensive if white was upper case while black was lower case?

Agree it’s a silly thing to get wound up about though. My kids are mixed race, so what would they be? I’m hoping for cursive.

 

From what someone posted regarding Black vs lowercase brown and white. I believe technically white people are referred to as Caucasian which would be capitalized. I believe African-American is no longer the preferred identifier.

 

In 1984 that's what they wanted to be referred to as "African-American". Why the change? See that's what gets me about this whole thing.

Most offensive thing to me in this mess is that I don’t want my beer/bourbon/sports/etc… to be political. Left, right, whatever. Just be beer. Just play a game. Let me enjoy not being pushed by both sides to be decisive for just a little bit of time.

 

Why does it have to be? It offended me. That's all you or anyone else needs to know. And it doesn't matter anyway, because all my answer would do is give you ammo to virtue signal. The thing that DOES matter is that BL sales are still in the tank. Apparently a lot of other people were offended as well. If ImBev doesn't care, that's fine as well, (but I'll bet they do). And just like Nike, I will never spend another dime on either product and that's all I need to justify. I couldn't care less what kind of beer you drink or what shoes you wear. You do you.
