Network Rumors and facts

Obviously not true. Just take a look at the last AE. (Not that there isn't a BOS 737 base, but look at the 73N in ATL on the last AE.. that looks like where it's going)

I have never heard that rumor. I had always heard that the 320 base was coming soon. 737 base wouldnt seem to make sense as the max has less range than the Neo. Also our 739s arent exactly known having a high NPS for its interior. I cant imagine a further stretch would improve on that. But this is Delta after all so nothing would surprise me.

Looking at the 22D3 (on the AE), projected staffing on the 73N is quite FO heavy while the 320 is more balanced. I know the 22D3 may not be worth the price of the sheet of paper it’s scribbled on, but why do this in the summer months?

The 73s are one thing - very reliable.
Networking plays tetris with our fleet. Our strategic fleet acquisitions are made based on network inputs. That's why we bought both MAX 10 and NEO (we got smoking good deals on both BTW).Very similar, they will get the tetris moves count on it.

For the record, I know exactly what airplane I'm on. Can you tell my why the 739 suffers so drastically to the 321ceo? I can't tell. Besides the trapped dogs in the cargo

Total hopium at this point.
Could it happen? Sure. Same odds for a 320 base or even 220. But I doubt it’s even made its way to a napkin sketch at this point.

Supposedly the bus gets slightly better NPS from the ever so slightly wider cabin all things equal. I would imagine Econ/Perf numbers are very similar. BOS is a 4 season travel heavy market that punches way above its weight class while sweeping the leg while it’s at it. DL of not that long ago basically paid a billion to indirectly build and gift for free a terminal for a ruthless mega LCC that became the biggest carrier in BOS history and they use the bus for long routes. It took DL decades to claw back to the top, ever so barely, and I doubt they want to give that up by lowering NPS even 0.1 points.
Maybe the MAX “is different this time” and the cabin is as good or better. Or maybe network sees a nickel per flight benefit to it over the bus, in which case it’ll get more routes than the bus.
IMO BOS is a phenomenal market and we need to leverage every possible advantage there to protect our ever so small lead.
