MOU 25-05
#151
RES has to do the math on every GS or now QS which means icrew to evaluate it by day for PBs and pay. The background music was a (poor) attempt to show this will be quick and many will miss the deadline. Think Jeopardy the show. Even now when I use ARCOS now it logs out and says I'm outside the window when I'm not, requiring a refresh login. No more auto accept so if you want one you will be a slave to the 5 inch screen and no, micrew doesn't give enough detail. How often are you going to want to do this? RES almost has to put in a blanket slip to be sure they get something that pays well. Starts and ends will determine pay and PBs. I'm good doing the leg work for something I know I'm being proffered but now it will be every time, not just my turn like with auto accept. Even REGs are going to get sick of the constant responses required to see if you won the lotto.

I stopped picking up the phone in the middle of the night years ago and am shocked as many guys do. I understand you may miss out on a big GS but if you do a lot of them, it isn't a big deal to miss one and if you don't do many, it really doesn't have much affect on your gross earnings for the year anyway. Just not worth it. I'd much rather have a normal night's rest and wait for another oppurtunity.

I don't GS that often but there's been once in the last 5 years where I've gotten so many trips in a single call out that I felt stressed about whether I could take one. So I don't see what you're trying to say.

If everyone does what you do this won't work and they will move to the IA blast and pay another senior who is probably sound asleep and will wake up to a surprise 23M7. There will be eager people who accept trips that haven't had a wink of sleep all night as they do the QS scramble for the 7th time at 5am. Auto accept was the only way to participate without all the nuisance calls, that is now gone.
And if everyone ignores it, they can't go directly to IA. They will blast out at QS and pay a surprise 23M7. If they skip QS, they owe M7 to GS and QS

I speak for everyone here when we say we realize after your 11 posts in the same thread that you hate the MOU. With that said, we're about to be in Section 6, so why don't we see how this works out, and if it sucks as much as you are convinced it will, I'm sure we will change it. However, the system we are under now was unacceptable for 99% of us, and our union heard our voices and made a good faith effort to revert to a system that honors seniority.

I am glad the union did something. What was happening wasn’t good for anyone. Maybe the junior pilots making deals at everyone else’s expense, but screw them. They shouldn’t have been doing those deals to begin with.
