They choose to invoke 23M7 and go to IA

They choose a route that costs them 3x to cover a trip

They signed an MOU that can cost 4x to cover a trip

So yeah, really smart to continue to give us leverage going into Section 6… Give me a break

It's not that they want to give us leverage. It’s that the company knew they’d get destroyed by the system board for being so out of compliance with grievance settlements that those need grievances themselves.

Years ago, I had to explain how it works to a CP more than 4 years ago when I explained I would not be doing a trip. Scheduling had no clue either 4+ years ago.

What point are you trying to make? I’ve never said that management intentionally gave us leverage. They accidentally gave us leverage by cramming ARCOS down our throats, agreeing to new language that included batch sizes, auto-accept, and auto-ack, and then subsequently launching an attack against batch sizes.

That this isn't some masterful move by the company going into Section 6 like you claim it to be

That’s not what I said at all.

Management has blundered and provided us with plenty of unplanned additional leverage going into section 6. None of it is a masterful move on their part.

They will do everything they can to take that leverage back, inexpensively, especially before section 6 opens.

Is that your claim with the MOU?

Not at all. In fact, my claim is the exact opposite. QS strengthens our position if management actually implements it.

In todays episode of "Crew Scheduling does this to themselves"

NYC L112 today.
1640 report
Pilot calls out sick this morning

They have it soaking for SLV. Reports in just over an hour.

GS? Nope. IA calls? None yet. Wondering how they will do this one.

This was well within 18 hours with ZERO short calls on call that window. This should have started coverage the second it hit open time.

Nah, lets SS soak it.

IIRC a soaking SS can't be WS. Perhaps it's an attempt at circumventing 23M7 pay. Thoughts?
