I already have. And it was far from unanimous.

If you have no chance of getting the trip, don’t put a slip in. They won’t call you.
BTW, QS will have a counter. Throw your QS in after the 15th if you’re junior.

I’m a fan of the MOU. Good job ALPA.

So what was the vote breakdown. And who was for/against?

The only "losers" who will still probably get something is the super senior 23M7 farmers.

All the winners are people who had GS in and would have flown (they will likely have QS in) but the real winners is it is no longer a free for all IA robocall with no seniority honored in reality.

Then we have the lookback gone UFN.

That's huge.

And a QHCP person can do anything that previously required a MD. Another win.

I will argue that your phone will ring less because of this. The QS will gobble up trips, so the IA calls are going to go away almost completely. Now you have control of whether you get phone calls or not with the QS slip submission, vs you having no choice with the IA call.

And since you have to input a new slip every month, it should be somewhat self-correcting. But it would also behoove us to get that word out. No sense in putting in a WS/OOBWS unless you actually intend to fly.
Maybe I'm just slow this morning, but could you explain this? There will still be M7 payments and auto accept for WS/OOBWS are still allowed. What disincentives the auto accept M7 surfing crowd from continuing? I see it more as a win for those people that live close to the airport w/ flexibility.

In an ideal world our current system would work without further grievances/violations and subsequent negotiating to, “fix”…

We’re just adding more complexity and ultimately, more layers for Crew Scheduling to figure out how NOT to follow out of exasperation because frankly, most of them just don’t care all that much.

Due to the complexity of our system/ladder and the inability for them to automate anything/train schedulers to reasonable proficiency the violations will continue. I don’t see this as fixing anything, just further complicating it.

There is no cost to company for using quick slips vs GS. I feel like there should be otherwise GS step could just disappear.

As someone who is less bothered by nuisance phone calls than improper awards, I’m okay with agreement but I fully expect the GS to used 2 days and 1 day or less out go straight to quick slips.

There should have been a penalty for using quickslips like 30 minutes pay to every pilot called that is below the pilot who accepts trip.

If the company has to complete the step they are on to skip to the QS step, I expect them to never start GS on short notice trips. So the argument that auto-accept is still there for GS is negated by not even using that step. It will be a costly option since they will have to pay 3x total (not 4x) to use QS, but they seem to be fine with that if it gets covered. If that's the case, we have given up auto-accept for 1 pilot getting paid 1x M7 per short notice trip. If they can stop mid-step, then people will still use auto-accepts to farm M7s.
