Yep, some updates from the flight ops group at velvet today:
The VP of crew resources was almost openly hostile at times. She admitted the removal of PB days was punitive and accused those who wash PB days of racketeering. Yes she actually used the word racketeering.
It’s our fault our operation sucks because our take rate on slips is too low.
The company is paying 23 million a month in 23M7
Sick leave letters were necessary because “something had to be done”
Some flights are going back to RJs because our take rate on Saturdays is too low.
Pre posted rest is here to stay.
Finally realized we need to hire(again solely because of our bad behavior) and will onboard 200 a month for the rest of the year and into early 2027.

Your actions have trashed the operation. No one else to blame. Own it.

It was fairly contained, a little murmuring/scoffing when she got to PB days. Some pointed questions though and she seemed fairly flustered and was relieved when the ops spec dude from all the CQ videos took some answers.
One other stat I found interesting was that 40 percent of all crew schedulers have less than 6 months on the job…

This is why I can't go to Velvet. Accused me of committing a felony, in a forum of that size, Im not going quietly.
I've told 3 stars they are wrong, their plan was stupid and going to get people killed to their face. I won't be able to hold my tounge.

Racketeering is actionable both as a civil and a criminal offense.
If the company isn't going after it in court or handing it over to a criminal prosecutor, it's just hot air.
(Ironically the phrase was invented because of another union..the Teamsters, back in 1927. A "racket" back then was roughly defined as a service that calls forth it's own demand that wouldn't have been needed otherwise)
It's an interesting accusation. Doubt it will go anywhere or it would be in court by now.

I lived in the "bubble" of the 4th for many years. It's a silly place (yes monty python reference, but again the .gif wouldn't load up for me)
Total echo chamber. Had to bail as I was losing my sanity.
