I've heard of them looking at sick call and attendance history when hiring for LCAs, but I can't verify it. Just random line pilot rumors. HK probably knows a lot more.

I don't know what else to say. This is what was was told to me. They're not trying to get the LCAs to shill for the company, but apparently they do have a say (or some sway) in who gets that job to begin with. I presume so that they don't get a "subverter" in that role. I don't claim to know anything about how things work behind those scenes, I'm just passing along what was told to me.

The "who" can be perfectly anonymous.
Just curious if it's a small segment of repeaters or if it's spread out on some the same pretty obviously terrible trips.

I can't speak of what they are doing - today. But in the past this was something we never really looked at. We wanted good dudes/dudettes to be LCAs. The interview was more of "what type of person are you?" - egomaniac trying to punch a ticket or someone truly vested and interested in teaching and holding the crews to standards. We wanted capable, humble and reasonable human beings. Couldn't care less about how many times they banged out sick/fatigued or whatever.
Heard a guy who interviewed somewhat recently (not sure on base, pretty sure it was 320) had to explain why he posted the comment “not surprised” about a crew assist pay inquiry regarding screwed up reroute pay from two years ago. Apparently they said that could be taken as disparaging the company.
Hope that’s an isolated incident. We don’t need an echo chamber wearing standards lanyards.

Lately…I’ve heard they’ve been digging up social media posts and turning the screws on guys for it. Not even inflammatory stuff…things like liking a post where someone asks if they were illegally rerouted.

I agree with your last statement. We - as in the line swine - don't want sycophants in the LCA roles. It appears however management in Flt Ops has different ideas. Seems like rather than hiring the best for the job - teaching - they are looking at more of bucket toting management wanna-be's.
