Don't let it force an important acronym out of your head like MAAPPPPP.
"It has something to do with non ILS approaches but I'm not sure what. I just wanted to use LAVS, but was instructed to use MAAAPPP or something. It was easy to remember, it was a bunch of M's, A's and P's. I forget the number of each though.
So then it was my turn to brief, and my brief went something like this... LAVS.

I'm a little unclear on which contract provisions are in play so far. I have a pattern that starts tomorrow with a DH to ATL. Am I allowed to DV8 and book possitive space on ExpressJet?

Depends on if the flight is a DL coded flight. If it is, yes, you can DV8 on DCI now. There is a glitch in the DBMS/ICrew platform to perform this, so you need to call Crew Scheduling: Option 1, Option 5, with the flight(s) you want to DV8 on and they will manually book them for you.
