Speaking of Airplane!, I was thinking today while we were parking at a gate in Atlanta, what if the red light is out? 
I remember sitting JS on a 764 flying ORD-ATL (clean up after bad weather) and I took a brace position behind the Captains seat waiting for us to smash into the terminal. I am not used to being that high or that close the terminal.

Thanks all you guys for the well wishes and PMs. Don't worry, I'll be fine. My neighbors here in NKY, Dale and Clem, have been very supportive. I've already been down to the CVG General Store to pick up some corn mash and a roll of copper tube.

Yep, we held for about that long, started smelling fumes, and went to CMH. If I hadn't browbeat the poor ground controller, we'd probably still be there. It wasn't quite Gander on 9/11 but it sucked.
