Speaking of Iphone. Anyone know the code to receive the Delta discount? I currently receive 15% Air Force discount but the ATT folks on the phone said they had multiple Delta discounts all the way up to 20% (only on the plan and the data plan).
I remember something earlier posted on the DALPA forum but couldn't find it.
Thanks

I know there is an ATT discount there, but I hate ATT so I don't use an iPhone. I'm waiting until next year when Verizon gets the iPhone.
The AFL-CIO discount is 18% of the phone service only.
Most of them are off the phone service and not the data plans. If there is one that offers a discount off of the data as well, please post it.

The reserve multiplier has nothing to do with swaps drops or trades. It is one part of the formula that determines the actual reserves required on a daily basis. If the company sets the multiplier higher then the reserves required number will be higher. The same rules for swaps and drops will apply. It can be a value up to 1.5 at the companies discretion. Usually its set to 1.5 in holiday periods when sick calls are higher.
One last point that is often confusing. The reserves required numbers have nothing to do with the manning required. A category can show short on reserves required for months and it does not mean it is below the manning formula. The reserve required number is a artificial value created only to goven swaps and drops.

Hi boys..........did you miss me? Just finished CQ or ART or SVT or what ever we are going to call it going forward. I just call it 4 days of the most fun you can have with your pants on up in MSP. I did stay at the training hotel in St Paul again (since Delta Integration Training) and they have the van problems worked out AND how much to charge us MSP commuters.
No big rumors we haven't already heard. The next cycle of CQ (starting in Sept) will be done in ATL (with north instructors) and the rest of us will start going down for 767 stuff and international "review" 6 months after our current due months. I guess the 757 sims in MSP will stay and be used for CQ and all initial/requals done in ATL. The systems test will not be used next cycle (fine with me) and you'll get a systems oral just prior to the MV sim.
NATCO is going to get a big renovation. The flight attendents are going to take over the "B" wing. Some other stuff on the other side will get a face lift too, but I don't rememberwhat all that involved. But, big changes to the little old red school house.
Scott Andersen is going to ATL with Tom C, John Oneil is going to be the DTW line check airman......didn't hear who the MSP guy will be.
Study up for phase 3 boys........this one is big and very new. But the good news is, the guys who have played with new ACARS head say it's no big deal and you'll pick it up real quick........which isn't the idea the LMS gives you.
As usual, a good experience but glad it's done......guess I can scare people for another year.

The multiplier determines the number of reserves required or the number you see in the computer. Once that number is posted it has no effect on the actual swaps. Yes it has a effect overall because it ups the reserves required however if the day shows adequate coverage you will get your drop or swap.

Delta / NWA SLI questions
OK, forgive me if this has been covered already somewhere on this thread or this forum, but what happened to folks on leave status, specifically a personal or furlough leave of absence (recalled from furlough, but took a leave of abscence instead of a training date) with regard to the NWA/Delta SLI ??? Anyone know the answer to the same question at AW/USAir (Nicholu Award SLI) ??
Thanks.
Thanks.
