consider them the GoJets of the ref world. Come on, they're just "pre-season" refs man, it's a different class of ref all together. Who would want to ref one of those games? They're noisy and small. The refs get paid less. As far as I'm concerned, they can fly any of those small DCI games, it will never come back to bite. Uhm, I mean ref those pre-season games. It's not like they're doing the same job as the much more highly paid normal season refs, and can be used at any time to bust up their union-like activities hey?

Whatever they are, they suck.

Regarding the inevitable takeover: Has anyone done the math on exactly how much of a raise American pilots will be given to be on parity with DAL pilots?

I bet it's a lot. Add that to their pensions, and once again, Delta pilots will take it in the pooper while the newly acquired folks rake in the cash. And these guys are from a bankrupt carrier with ZERO future. I'm surprised DALPA hasn't already started telling us why we should be happy with that.

But hey, at least we got a huge payraise and vastly improved work rules in this contract for playing ball with the company.

Dont forget that they have put the MD-88 cockpit mods on hold as well as are having a terrible time on spare parts for the 90s. Good thing the jumbo RJs are based on 717s instead of mainline fleet count and the ratios allow a huge portion of the fleet to be parked!

I assume by your remark that you feel like you took it in the pooper with your last merger with NWA????? Care to explain just how?

For a 777A its less than 15%. (205-235) Lets wait and see the terms a deal if any before we get all upset about how we get screwed. The details of any sort of deal that does or does not take employees will be vastly different than the NWA/DAL deal. Lets just wait and see what develops. The talk on here is about what the corporation may do, not how we and or bargaining agent will respond. The head of the merger committee for DALPA is first rate, and one of the smartest guys I have come across. I'm sure his committee has worked out all the scenarios with every possible combo.

Whoa, I got dizzy looking at that. Where and when was that? I've never in my life seen clouds do that. You should send it to the Weather Channel or something.
