Joy. Any chance I can find one with GE workers dancing with eco light bulbs in their factory, or near-suicidal iPhone assemblers making an Apple icon with neon Nanos? Just give me what I paid for, leave me alone, and stop acting like you're my bosom buddy. Bah humbug.

It's one reason I felt the 50-for-76 swap in the TA was a sucker's deal, regardless of it slightly reducing overall seats at DCI. It increased the economically viable, passenger-desirable seats at DCI.

I guess I was a sucker because I voted yes. Before you spool up, let me explain my logic. I and about 1100 of my coworkers were furloughed when 50 seat RJs were burgeoning at DCI. I voted yes to markedly reduce the number of RJs and grow domestic mainline from flying 55% to 65% of DAL passengers.

I realize that 76 jets are more viable and will be around for longer than the 50 seaters, but I don't care. In my mind the cancer of outsourcing via DCI is now a permanent part of this industry, RJs are not going away, so lets assume that they are permanent and try to reduce their percentage vice thinking we can sunset them.

Strategy vs tactics.

Scoop

PS - George knows more about the hazards of outsourcing then 99% of the Pilots on this board.

A lot of guys senior to me commute in so they want a regular line even if it is over Christmas so I usually am the 2nd most senior guy on reserve for the month and get the days off I want. Short Call doesn't really bother me, I'm just surprised that I have gotten them all out of the way in the first 8 days of the month!!! I still have a few days on call now and one more group of 7 later on but no short call then!

wow I wish I hadn't clicked on that dancing pilot link... so embarrassing! I thought I'd see a video showing all us transport workers busting our humps during the wee hours of the morning, prepping the big D machine for full-throttle at 0700. Pilots flying red-eyes across the continent, cleaners cleaning the terminals, maintainers busy fixing the planes and deep-cleaning them, ACS washing jets and polishing windshields... all done with some holiday cheer and a smile.

But having everyone out dancing around with marshaling wands in a clear waste of time? Gah! That doesn't make Delta or any of our employees look good or Holiday spirit-ish, it's just a bogus dance video. Particularly when you consider that anyone who has flow Delta more than twice has certainly sat at the gate, staring out the window while listening to the Capt say "Folks, please remain in your seats with seat belts fastened, we're not quite at the gate yet... we're waiting for some marshallers to arrive so we can pull that last 100 feet into the gate." Meanwhile, out the window, three lazy sacks are trodding sluggishly across the pavement without an ounce of urgency amongst them...

Sorry, but that video punched every bad button I have as a Delta Customer, and a few of them as an employee lol.

I'm showing that video to my kids, so they think that's what I do at work.

You might have some more trampoline time if you do that.

I laughed out loud then I realized, it's still broken.

there are some serious withdrawls going on for my beloved hardworking $350 Toshiba L775-S3707 with that MS Office suite I purchased from Deltanet.

The screen is sitting at the Doraville UPS but I can't have it til Monday. I'm curious about Fedex and UPS, do they really not work on the weekends?

Unfortunately, if the computer had been bounced upon on Thursday morning then I'd had the screen the next day. But since it happened on Friday morning, I get it almost 4 calendar days later... for the same price as next day.

Those tricky no money in freight shipping companies.
