No biggie. The gear door(s) did not close after the gear extended. Run the QRH, stop it on the runway, latch the doors manually, pin it and tow it in and high five your sim partner cuz you just got away with LOE murder.

As these fellows approach the airplane ...

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. Please remain seated. Our landing gear doors fell down and we can't get them up. In anywhere from 15 minutes to two hours we'll get someone to pin them back to the airframe and get towed to the gate. You can use your cell phones. We ask that you please do not call your friends at the news paper."

All areas considered.
Good advice here from all your Dal Brothers but...try the Pan Am. It is not the Ritz, however it has a microwave and fridge, 24 hour van service to and from JFK and LGA (that's a big deal), safe neighborhood on Queens Bvld, in house restaurant, Pops diner 24hr 50 yards away (very good eats), late check out, $75 out the door if you stay 6 times. If you like beer...Tommy will gladly stop by a store for you on the way to the hotel. Just a thought...Cheeers H. ps fast track Boomer. You heard the Man.

That's a pretty wide over simplification. If CASM is the main (and almost only) controlling variable then all we can do is sit here and let them slowly dominate all of our domestic lift on their terms. All we can do is reduce capacity to squeeze revenues, outright gifting them CASM controlling growth while we raise our own CASM by comparison.

We're doomed I tell ya. Doomed! All our pax are belong to them!

How many ER's and/or 74's are you willing to give up for that?

I use 5 Towns for day sleeping, a $40/night hot rack pad in an undesirable neighborhood (but the place is nice inside and the owner shuttles you to and from the airport for free) for short overnights, and a $50/night hot rack pad near Kew Gardens for longer stays. If you're interested in any of those solutions, drop me a pm and I'll give you contact info.

Hopefully no more than 16.

Just don't know how many 70 seaters for 76 seaters we'll need to exchange to get 16 773s... 102?

The good news is that that would be a significant scope recapture.
