Just think of this, retirements really start to kick in when the President hits mid terms. And when I say President, I don't mean the President elected this year, I'm talking the one elected in 2016. VIVA 2018!!!!! tongue in cheek folks. I fully expect a lot more pilots to leave before they hit 65... and then for us to find a way to maximize the minimization of back fills. And wow, the YOY changes to block hours... sure is a lot of negatives on the domestic side. |
My Delta Google News subscription has been emailing me a bunch of news articles speculating on future narrow body fleet orders. I have also heard that RA was in Toulouse last month. Anyone hear anything regarding a potential aircraft order?

My best guess is you subtract those 3 days from the bid period. So for Oct it would be 31-3=28 days of availability. Then use the pro rated table in th bid packet to see how many X days you get. Don't forget to add an extra day if your category is a 20% reserves qualifier. That info is in each bid packet too.
If still in doubt, call the PBS Bid assist help line. They have always been helpful in my experience. I just did it last month. The 3 days of the sim count as 3 of your on call days. |
