Ahhh, ok.

That explains all the smoke, it must be getting ready for a verticle take off.

I heard that back in the 60's, Glen Beck was shot down in one, while flying over Russia, he lost Powers in both engines.

No wait, that was Garry Beck, right, our Flight Ops guy.

Or was it Glen Powers, over Gary, Indiana?

It's all fun and games until you mess up and call this C-5 a C-141 and all hell breaks loose:

Cool family picture, just don't understand why the Coast Guard uses grey paint. How are you supposed to wave to them for help if you can't see them against the bright blue sky?

Or is that gray paint?

You clown, that's not Coast Guard, that's the Air Guard, there's the C5, the C130's, and of course the good old KC135's, in camo, for low level refueling. Shhhh, don't tell anyone about that, it's double top secret!

The L&G is like a CQ CD: spend hours, learn absolutely nothing about aviation.

Except no one ever put a zombie, or underass, in a CQ CD...

Maybe this was the big announcement:

Delta returns to Chattanooga after 17-year absence | timesfreepress.com

And it's not an RJ

Hey, it's Sept. 5, Big Annoucement Day.

SD, JG and the Floperation boys are doing a road show in JFK today.

As soon as they make their Big Announcement, I expect one of you guys sitting airport standby will report on exactly how many new A380's and 747-800's we're getting, and how many thousands of pilots we will need to hire to fly them.

Right now I've got to go to the can and make a big announcement too...

I'll let you know how that comes out. Do you want pictures or will you take my word for it?

Any bets on who's big announcement will be bigger; mine or theirs?

Still waiting for updates. Buehler?

They forgot to get me to sign the NDA.

I'll fly it! I doubt we'll get them, though.. they are far far too adept at whacking jumbo RJ's and putting them out of service.

But, if we do... I'll be all over that fat chick like its last call, and I hope it pays a few more bucks an hour than the 744/777, just to make tsquare squirm a bit more on top of the twitches from us buying airbus. :D

I saw that korean air has a truck follow them around the airport to verify wingtip clearance! Delta probably called them to protect our the newest planes in the fleet (jumbo RJs).
