I'm not complaining just don't understand how I could be on my 4th SC, while there are guys with the same days of availability with zero SC's. Makes no sense at all.
I may have to change my preferences too. Thanks for the info

Call and ask. I have questioned a couple things over my 1st couple of years and they have always had a good explanation and were always receptive to me questioning. Let us know what they have to say.

No....but at the same time no one else has flown. That's my issue with it, all things being EQUAL, why do I have 4SC's, and 12-15 other guys/gals have 0. Doesn't make any sense.

I agree with the previous. I would call scheduling because something doesn't sound right. The idea behind the SC buckets is fine by me but this picking numbers out of hat or whatever they are doing sucks.

Transparency is all that I ask. If its my turn, by all means I'll head that way....But I guess life isn't fair so why should work be :rolleyes:

You know I wouldn't mind seeing a list for available SC's just like the RSV availability list. Seems like it would stop them from getting so many calls for explanations too.

You complain, because you're junior. Even if you're the reserve 777A sitting at #129 on a list of 11,992 pilots, you're junior. Don't worry, you'll be senior some day. Well, actually, I can't really promise that. But I can promise you that some day you'll have more longevity than you have now. So stop complaining.

j/k

Reserve = Junior new hires.

Period.

We really need a caption contest for it. Such as "want to go out for dinner?"

I think it's obvious that the cat's owner didn't care how it would end up. Any reasonable person knows this won't end good.

You aren't getting it and what you quoted leaves our question unanswered. Where does it say if we are at the 20% threshold or wont we know until the final lines are published? We know that 20% reserve means the extra X day, where does it say whether or not we are at the 20% mark?

iaflyer is correct. He did answer the question. Open the Oct Bid package. Scroll down to around page 20. There is a grid labeled 'Parameters for Oct 2012' which lists EVERY category states a YES or NO under the Extra X Day column indicating which categories are projected to have 20% or greater reserves.

The 20% mark is projected, so they know in advance of schedule awards.
