Anyone else notice that guys doing recurrent still show up on the reserve avail list? I got assigned a trip one day when I was number 3 on the list to be called and when I asked scheduling why pilots 1 and 2 didn't get the trip they didn't even show them on the system they look at. They asked me who they were and when I gave them names/emp number they stated they were in recurrent training. When I doubled checked after getting off the phone they were 100% correct and it was my trip. I just thought it was off that they showed up as avail when they really weren't. The only way to have seen the whole picture would have been to pull up those pilots schedule. Difficult to do in a large category.

iaflyer is correct. He did answer the question. Open the Oct Bid package. Scroll down to around page 20. There is a grid labeled 'Parameters for Oct 2012' which lists EVERY category states a YES or NO under the Extra X Day column indicating which categories are projected to have 20% or greater reserves.
k The 20% mark is projected, so they know in advance of schedule awards. |

If someone is in recurrent, they SHOULDN'T be on the list as they AREN'T available. If someone has a 30/7 or 24/7 issue, they shouldn't be on the list as they aren't available. If someone is ending a trip that day and needs rest then they shouldn't be on the list as they aren't available!! ARGH!!!!!:mad: |

He originally referred us to the grid that references ALV and he later corrected / edited his post to point to the proper graph. We got it all figured out as posted a few pages ago by IAFLYER.

One of biggest gripes, & I pleaded for it to be changed in the contract survey. The Reserve Availability List is one of the MOST USELESS tools at a reserve guys disposal.

Amen.
J you were at Coex, what did they have? Or anyone who has worked under a more informative and user friendly system, how was it set up? And I was at CoEx, but I honestly can't remember anything about CCS except the open time screen. Why? Because as a EWR RSV CA all I ever saw was the open time screen as I tried to decide which trip I would prefer to pick up in the Agressive Pickup Window. :D But there really wasn't much choice. It was usually a pick between 17 hour 4 days with SHV, AEX, & LCH layovers or MTY, SHV, LFT layovers. All the hotspots. :D |
I have a question that's been answered here at least 14 times: When you go from a month where you have a line with a spillover trip, to a month on reserve, what happens to the credit from the spillover days?
I had a hard choice to make: a. Go back and look for a previous competent answer b. Look it up in the contract and attempt to understand what I found c. Look for underboob and post it as tribute. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7...m2no1_1280.jpg http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7s8mmhyHU1r62m2no1_1280.jpg http://3.cdn.tapcdn.com/images/thumb...08-animate.jpg http://3.cdn.tapcdn.com/images/thumb...08-animate.jpg http://mankindunplugged.com/wp-conte...n-Dolphins.jpg http://mankindunplugged.com/wp-conte...n-Dolphins.jpg |
