Thanks! Any ideas on who to email to make that happen, cheaper for the company and way better for me....seems like a win-win, so on second thought that may not happen.

You don't have to email anybody. They'll automatically put you in the short class.

Ah, I didn't understand the VD process. I didn't put in a VD, but I did request NYC.

Ouch. I made a mistake on a bid in 2001 that cost me a captain slot for three years so I won't judge you. Hopefully your error will only cost you a couple of months. (That's assuming you would have gotten NYC on a VD.)

FYI, in the future, if you want something, put in a Voluntary Displacement bid that mirrors your Advance Entitlement bid.

Thanks, I'll fix it in the next AE. Lesson learned, still learning our business two years later.

40ish from the bottom ATL7ERB and appears I did not get displaced. Anxious to see how close I got.

My screen says =*=Pilot Outstanding Awards=*=

But then it's blank. Does this mean I got awarded something or negatory? I had a VD in off the ER...

What base?
If you had a VD in off the ER in ATL and it was to a category you are sure you can hold, then its almost certain you got it.

Elvis- sorry about your bid. For future reference, Wilbur is exactly correct. For 99.9% of pilots, your VD preferences should always exactly match your AE preferences on every bid.

It was off the ER in NYC. I'm guessing that some of the md's from Atlanta woulda displaced to NYC.

I think I've broken the refresh button on my computer hoping Crew Resources would post the bid results on DeltaNet this evening. Guess we're out of luck and we won't get to see the full results until Monday morning.

That's possible but since there were no posted surpluses in your category it will all depend on who bids in and who bids out and what Crew Resources decides to do with the cascades and backfills.
That's probably why this is taking so long. They can't make up their minds how many training events they want to trigger and in which categories.

Surplus bids are so ugly. It will be cruel and unusual punishment if they leave guys hanging all weekend.
Looks like they might do it though.
