I was very surprised when I first saw a flight attendant in jeans. My next thought was, what would customers think of pilots wearing jeans? I don't think it's appropriate for either one. For one thing, if looks contribute to a person's professionalism, well, it's not unless you're a rancher or farmer. Second, it's difficult to distinguish between crewmembers and passengers at that point, which could be critical in an emergency.

Excellent. Hopefully it was "brought up" in the same way it was "brought up" to the FA's. Because the way the "money issue" was brought up to the FA's is that actual money was brought to the FA's so that they may buy uniforms. They get continual credits for this purpose.

Amirite?

that's fantastic!

best part it also shows swapping rjs for larger rjs and raising the cap on large rjs was not the only option to get rid of 50 seaters.

It's a great rumor, exceeeeept... they're displacing pilots off the A320 just in time for 2013.

Why?

At a minimum, this might suggest the deal is for 2013, not the airframes.

Youre talking like both hands know what the other is doing, haha. Orders though usually are for well over a year out, though.

Believe me, I'd be thrilled if we get 321's. Thrilled right until I get in one, then I'll whine it's not a Boeing. But let's save that for later.

BTW, you guys predicting AE results by "COB, today" make sense, but does "COB" refer to the actual time B C, or later in the day like 5PM?

If I recall from the SLI discussions, we can order from Boeing and have deliveries after 18 months, I bet Airbus is similar. Now if we want to wait for Neos, that's a lot longer. (2015-2016 earliest in service).

You could bring half an old steering wheel with you and set it on the lunch table for that Boeing feel.

are there no back door ways to see AE results?
