My apologies; I didn't mean to dehumanize this guy in front of his friends and loved ones. Unfortunately, the manner in which he chose to go was way outside the bell curve. To the media and millions of complete strangers, he's just a nutjob who exchanged all his tomorrows for a mention on the nightly news. If he had just popped the slide and ran across the ramp we would all have a good chuckle, and his kids wouldn't grow up wondering why daddy killed that lady. |

He leaves behind two young children, and a wife who will now have to make ends meet by herself. The Brian I knew was a good person, who had most recently found troubling times in his life. (Ever been a victim to life's ups & downs?) He needed help, and prior to someone reaching out to him, he ended the life of his ex-girlfriend and then took his own. Anyway, not meant to sound like a lecture, just that there's always a side to the story the media doesn't seem to portray. Fly safe, GJ |

Well, you know execs aren't going to give up their bonuses....and the way DALPA rolls over (er, negotiates), any extra expenses, taxes, losses, etc. are coming out of our future pay raises. DALPA big shots certainly won't play hardball and ruin their futures in management.
Sure, the company can afford it. But we pilots can't. Let me know how that goes for you..... If you are saying that DALPA must have a clear position and use that to negotiate the best deal for all the pilots then I can agree with that... If it is not, what color do you turn after Purple when holding your breath? |
